United Way and Family Advocacy Center

FACLogo_SMALLUnited Way of Central New Mexico and the Family Advocacy Center (FAC) are hosting an Open House from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at 625 Silver SW in Albuquerque. The public is invited to learn about the FAC’s mission, operations, and partners.

The FAC offers a variety of free and confidential services for anyone who has experienced interpersonal violence; they include medical care, advocacy, legal and financial assistance, as well as law enforcement and prosecution.

Open House visitors can take a tour to observe how the unique design of the facility dramatically reduces the stress and trauma often placed on victims and their families by giving them access to a wide range of support services all at one single location.

The Center opened on October 23, 2007, as a partnership of the Albuquerque Police Department in conjunction with the Department of Family and Community Services and the United Way of Central New Mexico.
