A donor-advised grant through the Albuquerque Community Foundation provided the New Mexico Cancer Center Foundation with the resources it needed to host its fundraiser. The event was enormously successful, raising $35,000 to help cancer patients with financial needs. Additionally, the foundation received an anonymous $50,000 matching gift, which has helped it establish an endowment to ensure its work continues. Often, low-income patients need help making ends meet so that they can focus on healing. The money raised will help these families pay for necessities such as food, rent and other health care costs.
