Rio Rancho, NM— Goodwill Industries of New Mexico is teaming up with Century Bank to host a donation drive to benefit the more than 11,000 New Mexicans that Goodwill serves each year. The event, taking place during bank hours on Monday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 5, will be hosted at Century Bank’s facility in Rio Rancho.

“The partnership between Goodwill and Century Bank makes it easy for New Mexicans to get on the ‘nice list’ as we start the holiday season,” said Mary Best, President & CEO of Goodwill Industries of New Mexico. “The simple act of cleaning out your closet or garage goes a long way to assisting your fellow New Mexicans.”

Century Bank, which also hosts a food drive each year, added the clothing and household goods drive to their list of community service projects to make an even greater impact on New Mexico.

“Century Bank’s staff cares so much about the community in which we live and work,” said Lydia Romero-Sudler, Branch Manager/Vice President of Century Bank in Rio Rancho. “It was a natural step for us to host this donation drive and help Goodwill as they assist New Mexicans to find stable work in the community.”

Goodwill’s nine programs and services in New Mexico focus on providing skills training, job development and social services. Last year they placed nearly 700 New Mexicans into stable employment so that they could experience the power of work. All of Goodwill’s programs and services are offered free of charge to New Mexicans and are funded by grants, generous financial donations from the community and the sale of new and gently used donations in their 14 thrift stores.

The donation drive will take place at Century Bank’s facility in north Rio Rancho located at:

Century Bank
3634 Rio Rancho Blvd, Suite 101
Rio Rancho, NM 87144
Dec. 1 through Dec. 5
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day

“It’s exciting to be able to start off the holiday season with an act of kindness and this event makes it easy to do just that.” Romero-Sudler said.
