Good News from Duke City Repertory Theatre

DCRT Development Josh Heard with Jessica Martinez, Volunteer and Support Service Coordinator for Enlace.

Duke City Repertory Theatre’s donation drive for Enlace Comunitario and S.A.F.E. House New Mexico wielded a generous outpouring from the community.  After collecting diapers, baby wipes, toys, and women’s clothing during the three weekend run of “All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth,” the members of Duke City Rep were astounded.

“We were beyond humbled by the support from our patrons,” said Josh Heard, Director of Development from DCRT.  “We really believe in the work that both Enlace Comunitario and S.A.F.E. House New Mexico do for our community, and it was inspiring to see our patrons believe in it too.”

The donation drive brought in over 1,000 diapers for Enlace Comunitario, along with enough boxes of clothing and toys to fill a mid-sized SUV for S.A.F.E. House.  The donations were delivered at the beginning of January.

“We consider this an incredible success,” says Heard. “And we’re excited to continue supporting local non-profits and organizations for our upcoming productions.”
