“Making an Impact on our Community, One Light at a Time” was the theme of the 2014 Campaign Celebration on May 11 at Intel. The event was a tribute to more than 30,000 donors, 400 workplace campaigns, 2,400 volunteer hours and hundreds of agency partner programs and unions, for their support of the annual campaign.
“United Way of Central New Mexico is dedicated to improving lives and strengthening our communities by bringing people and resources together. That is accomplished by multiple goals which aim to increase donor participation and the Community Fund – goals that we worked to achieve this campaign,” said 2014 Campaign Chair Dave Seely. “We have such deep appreciation to all who gave so generously.” UWCNM also appreciates the speakers who delivered the program: Dr. Sue Cleveland, Kim Sawyer, Dave Seely, Kirby Jefferson and Ed Rivera.
A particular thank you went to the companies that together raised more than $12 million dollars for our four-county community: Sandia National Labs, Intel, Presbyterian Healthcare Services/Presbyterian Health Plan and University of New Mexico/UNM Hospital.
For the first time, the event was also delivered via a live streaming option, which garnered a great deal of attention from those who could not join the event at Intel.
