On Saturday, September 24, 2016, from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central New Mexico will hold the 2nd Annual Plane Pull benefitting the youth of our community. The event takes place at Albuquerque International Sunport where teams of 20 will battle to pull a Boeing 727 as fast as possible! The event is free to the public and brings out families from across the region to participate, cheer on the teams and enjoy food trucks, a car show, live music, a children’s activity area & more.

Since 1952, Boys & Girls Clubs of Central New Mexico (BGCCNM) has provided at-risk children, between the ages of 5 and 18, with a safe place to learn and grow. Currently the Club serves over 2,500 children in its Albuquerque and Rio Rancho Clubs, providing them with state-of-the-art programing administered by highly trained staff. Club members learn leadership skills, explore career opportunities, and become healthy individuals who are ready to tackle
88% of our members are minorities, 95% qualify for free or reduced price school lunch, 51% come from single parent households and 86% are age 12 or below. With its mission to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens, Boys & Girls Clubs of Central New Mexico offers an educational, fun and safe place for kids to spend their afternoons during the school year.
